Bethune is a beautiful village strategically located just 56 km
NorthWest of Saskatchewan's capital city of Regina on Highway #11,
now designated as the Louis Riel Trail. Bethune has a population of a growing 380 people. The
community's location provides good access to larger centers which offer services
not found in Bethune.
The village takes its name from C.B. Bethune, the engineer on the
first train to travel the railway in 1887.

- We have booked the Heart & Stroke Big Bike for a ride in Bethune.
Mark FRIDAY, JUNE 20th on your calendar. The ride will start at 1:30 p.m.
You should consider joining us for a ride around town on a bike built for 30!
We had such fun last year! Anyone can do it!
How do I ride? you ask....In order to ride:
a.. you have to be 14 years of age or older
b.. you have to let us know so we can get a pledge envelope to you (Candice 638-4845 or Juanita 638-2204) or via e-mail
c.. you have to collect pledges (a minimum of $50 is required) On-line pledge-raising is available. It is fast and easy to use, ask me how to get yourself set up on-line, pledges on credit cards are accepted on-line. There are prizes that are handed out based on the amount of pledges you are able to raise also.
d.. and last of all you have to show up with your pledge envelope on Friday, June 20th and that's it!
Please forward this on to everyone you know, we only had e-mail addresses for those that I have sent it to - I don't want to leave anyone out....Everyone is welcome!
Last year we got started around one o'clock and we were finished in plenty of time for everyone to get home to receive their children afterschool. More information will be forthcoming to promote the event and riders will receive updates from us prior to the event.
Let's try to get more than 2 men riding this year to make the challenges on the ride more even.
The Heart & Stroke rep asks questions and the males and females take turn peddling based on correct or incorrect answers.
We will ask for the same weather as last year and we'll see what we get. (It was hot and the water guns were great!)
It is great fun! We look forward to hearing from you.
